Description:

Nickel은 지각에 존재하는 가장 흔한 금속 원소 중 하나이며, Iron에 이어 두 번째로 풍부한 금속입니다. 여러 효소는 활성 부위(active site)의 구성 요소로 니켈을 이용하며, 단핵(mononuclear, glyoxalase I, superoxide dismutase), 이핵(dinuclear, urease), 또는 보다 복잡한 이종핵 클러스터(heteronuclear cluster, 여러 hydrogenase 및 dehydrogenase)의 형태로 존재합니다.

AkrivisBio는 니켈이 자외선(UV) 및 가시광선(Visible) 영역에서 흡수 밴드(absorbance bands)를 갖는 설프하이드릴(sulfhydryl) 화합물과 착물을 형성하는 특성을 활용합니다. AkrivisBio의 Nickel Assay는 다양한 시료 유형에서 Ni²⁺를 간편하고 민감하게 정량할 수 있는 분석법입니다. 또한 다른 이온들도 황(Sulfur) 함유 화합물과 유사한 반응을 나타내므로, 간섭 물질의 영향을 보정하기 위해 차등 흡광법(differential absorbance method)을 사용합니다.
